PRVY jeans - I WANT THEM!!!!!

Go see Shop With Me Mama

So, October is coming to a close, but before it does, I really wanted to share with all of my viewers a wonderful Jeans and Clothing line called PRVCY Premium. Why before October, do I want to share this wonderful product line with you? Well, because October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and PRVCY Premium represents that in their clothes!

PRVCY

Some information on this (taken off their site):

The Three Threads of the Lifeline Design:

"Faith" that we can reach and teach the masses about early detection for breast cancer. Early detection gives us the best chances to successfully fight breast cancer.

"Hope" that a cure for breast cancer is on the way. We will continue to do all that we can to provide information concerning ttreatment to those that need it. We will also continue our efforts in providing free mammograms to thousands of women across the country.

"Love" for what we do and we are totally devoted to creating the perfect denim. We will pour all of our love into every style and every fit, everyday.

The lifeline design is inspired by the leap of faith Carolyn Jones, CEO and Founder, experienced during the last days of her mother, who
battled with breast cancer, gave her daughter the inspiration to leave her corporate occupation and embark on a journey to find what would give her true happiness. In homage to her mother, Carolyn Jones created teh name PRVCY (pronounced Privacy) as her brand from a conversation she had with her mother wanting more privacy from her hospital gown.

The company has funded and provided free mamograms to women across the United States and will continue this program as one of the company's core initiatives. The company has also committed to give back up to ten percent of ALL sales proceeds towards breast cancer awareness and free mammogram programs. The company has donated several hundred thousand dollars to breast cancer related programs since 2003!

PRVCY Jeans

I received an absolutely adorable pair of denim jeans from PRVCY to review. I got the Malibu Hills Rinse Bootcut Jeans. These jeans arrived at my home so quickly, I could not believe it! I was so excited to try them on and wear them. You know me, I am a jeans girl! Love them! They are true designer jeans, let me tell you! First, when I put them on, I noticed how wonderful and comfy they felt. They have just enough stretch in them to fit my body and hug my curves, yet I swear I feel like I am not even wearing jeans they are that comfortable. They are made from 74% cotton and 26% elasterell. I am also one for details on the back pockets of my jeans, and these jeans do not let me down. The details are perfect for slimming down my bottom and the flap pockets make my butt look so cute! I love the bigger stitching too (most all the designer jeans have that look of the bigger stitching), it just adds to the quality of the jeans and the overall appearance.

PROS: Absolutely adorable jeans, just the right fit. Super comfortable and they hug all the right curves/places on your body. They are quality and it shows. Plus, when you buy a pair you know you are helping to support a great cause!

CONS: The price tag is not that appealing. But, they are alot LESS expensive then many other designer jeans out there, and they are just as good if not better.

OVERALL: I love them. I love the fit, the look and I love that ten percent of ALL their proceeds goes towards breast cancer awareness and free mamogram programs.

CANT AFFORD THEM? Well, Christmas is coming!!! Ask your hubby, Mother, Grandmother or someone else looking to find you that perfect gift! And hey guys! They are NOT just for us Women! There are plenty of nice looking denims for you too! Take a peek HERE!

Spore Hero Giveaway at MomStart THAT I MUST WIN for my children who are slightly obsessed with SPORE !!

Spore Hero Came out let’s celebrate with a Spore #giveaway

This is the big reason why EA and Maxis studios invited me out to play with them for the weekend. The brought me, my husband, my daughter and my son to San Francisco. My Sister-in-law lives there so it was an amazing opportunity to not only spend time with family that we don’t see very often but to play games before anyone else gets to see them.

I did write about my family vacation once, but I feel that since this is the reason we went there I should mention it again with this giveaway.

Spore Hero: Play Meejee's Target Practice Game!

I don’t have a copy of Spore Hero yet but I played it there and it was so much fun. You get to make all kinds of heroes and my kids got to play. Zoe created the most purple monster/hero she could make. It’s great to see her have fun with her dad. So this vacation was awesome and we’ll have very fond memories of it forever. Now, I’m not going to tell you too much because I’m going to do a giveaway for Spore Hero in a week or two. But one thing I want to mention is that Spore Hero is for the Wii and they also released a game for the Nintendo DS. The Nintendo DS, unlike most games that are released at the same time is a completely different game. Spore Hero Arena.

Create your own Hero with over 150 parts and powers, now for the first time in 3-D on the DS!
Fight dangerous enemies in arenas across the galaxy, from all - out 4 creature "Battle Royales", to capture the crown "King of the Planet" challenges, and much more!
Summon over 15 devastating Bio-Power attacks, from lightning strikes to deadly ground stomps!
Brawl with your friends in 4 player wireless and 2 player Wi-Fi action!

Play an original Spore story, in the same galaxy as Spore Hero for Wii. Travel to a variety of planets, completing missions, and challenging opponents who have been corrupted by an evil power. Fight to become the ultimate Spore Hero and save the galaxy!

SporeI will write more about both games next week. For now, I’m going to write more about Spore. When we were at EA Studios with EA Play they didn’t have copies of the game we came to see because it wasn’t done yet. I mean we were playing on test machines. It was above AWESOME. So, they gave us a copy of Spore and the expansion pack. My husband wanted to know what we were going to be looking at so right before we went on our trip he purchased Spore.
I want to give one lucky reader the copy that EA gave my family.

I haven’t played spore, but I met some of the artists and creators. They were very nice and informative and said that in creating spore knowing your math skills is an understatement. You can create everything in Spore from you creatures to your civilizations. We saw people that made spaceships and themed creations. There is an on-line network where you can share your spore creations and download others for your game. It’s similar to The Sims in my opinion.
This game has really low reviews on Amazon, but it’s more about creating than playing. I mean it’s loads of fun if you are creative. Spore Hero is quite a step up from Spore but Spore is in my opinion from watching my husband play with my daughter a fun creative game.
I know that if I devoted more time to game playing I would enjoy it too.

The Beginning

Project 365: How to Take a Photo a Day and See Your Life in a Whole New Way

Why do it?

Taking a photo a day is a big undertaking with big payoffs. Here are just a few reasons why you should consider doing it:

  • Imagine being able to look back at any day of your year and recall what you did, who you met, what you learned… (Often we find it hard to remember what we did just yesterday or even last night, let alone a whole year ago!)
  • Your year-long photo album will be an amazing way to document your travels and accomplishments, your haircuts and relationships. Time moves surprisingly fast.
  • Taking a photo a day will make you a better photographer. Using your camera every day will help you learn its limits. You will get better at composing your shots, you’ll start to care about lighting, and you’ll become more creative with your photography when you’re forced to come up with something new every single day.

Tips on How to Do It

Here are six tips on how to create your own Project 365:

  1. Bring Your Camera Everywhere
Yes, everywhere. Get in the habit. Grocery stores, restaurants, parties, work, and school. Going to a movie theatre? Snap a pic of the flick with your phone–there are photo-ops everywhere. If you have one of those tiny tiny cameras, you have no excuse not to have it in your pocket all the time. And if you don’t? Camera phones are a great substitute.
  2. Make Posting Easy
You can install blog software like Movable Type or Wordpress on your own site and create an entry for each photo, but for true ease of use, try a photo sharing site. Flickr will let you post a week’s worth of photos in 2 minutes flat, and fotolog and Photoblog.com are geared toward a photo-a-day workflow. Making it fast and easy means you’re much more likely to do it.
  3. Vary Your Themes
Try to capture the day’s events in a single photo. Perform photographic experiments. Take a photo of someone new you meet, something you ate for the first time, or something you just learned how to do. Take a photo of something that made you smile. And don’t forget to take a photo of yourself at least once a month so you can remember how you’ve changed, too.
  4. Tell a Story
Use your blog entry, or your photo description, to explain what’s going on in each day’s photograph. How good did that dinner taste? What made you want to take a photo of that stranger? It’ll help you remember down the road, and it gives friends following along a better appreciation of why you took the photo you did. You don’t need to write a lot, just enough to add some color.
  5. Don’t Stop, No Matter What
This is perhaps the most important tip of all. You will get tired of taking a photo every single day. Some days, you will consider giving up. Don’t. The end result is worth the effort. Remind yourself why you wanted to do it in first place.

There will be times you’ll think there’s nothing interesting left to take a photo of, and times you’ll think you didn’t do anything exciting enough to take a photo of. There’s always a great photo to be made.

Get out of the house and take a walk. Or stay inside and look around. Take a photo of something important to you. Take a photo of the inside of your house so you can see how your taste has changed over the years. Take a photo of anything, just don’t stop.

N.b. It helps if you’ve told your friends about the project and asked them to follow along. Their encouragement will keep you going!

  6. Post early, post often
Plan on going through and posting your photos at least once a week so you don’t get backlogged and feel overwhelmed. Ideally, post every day or two. Again, spend the time up front to make sure it’s quick and easy to post. It’ll make all the difference.
